A round trip route between Niigata Prefecture’s Itoigawa City and Ojiya City. This plan allows you to enjoy the jade experience in a nationally designated area as well as a special lunch. A particularly valuable experience where you will be granted special permission to enter one of Japan’s national natural monuments, Kotakigawa Jade Gorge, and enter the rivers and on the banks to observe the jade. Furthermore, with the cooperation of Mr. Ito, who processes jade products in the Kotaki region, we will be holding a special jade processing experience at the processing plant, where you will be able to reserve the process. We will also be offering a special package that includes a jade piece as a souvenir. This tour will demonstrate a unique tourism model that combines the protection and utilization of jade resources through Mr. Ito’s explanation of the lifestyle and culture, based on her jade business. Furthermore, you will board the luxury resort train Setsugekka, where you can enjoy spectacular scenery while dining on delicious food. You will also have the opportunity to experience the raising and catching of Nishikigoi in Nagaoka City. In Ojiya City, you will have the opportunity to make fireworks (imitation fireworks), unique to this city of fireworks, while having a relaxing time enjoying Japanese traditional sweets and tea, and learning about the history of the area.
