Itoigawa’s unique outdoor Renge Hot Springs are located halfway up the peak of Mt. Korenge. At an elevation of 1,550m, where you can relax whilst taking in Mother Nature’s beauty before or after challenging the Renge Forest Nature Trail. Enjoy the scenic view of the Northern Alps while soaking in these extraordinary unique hot springs!

Within just a 15 minute hike away from the Renge Hot Spring Lodge, the path takes you along the natural steam vents before reaching the four unique outdoor baths, each with their own different characteristics. The outdoor baths at Renge Hot Spring are mixed bathing.

Please make sure to pay at the Renge Hot Spring Lodge before entering.

These hot springs are located in the Chubu Sangaku National Park, with a number of hiking trails and campsites available nearby. You can also stay at the Renge Hot Spring Lodge and enjoy the handmade food there too!

※ Note: The outdoor baths at Renge Hot Spring are mixed bathing, whereas the baths inside the Renge Hot Spring Lodge are separated by gender. Swimwear is permitted, but not required for the mixed baths.

※ Note: There are no changing areas or locker rooms at the outdoor baths. Please undress on the side of the bath and keep any valuable at hands at all times.

※ Note: There is no mobile signal available at the outdoor baths. Satellite phones are available to rent from the lodge (a separate fee is required)
