Tsukitoku Hanten is also the birthplace of the Itoigawa Black Yakisoba, a local noodle dish fried with squid ink. It is topped with a soft, fluffy egg and is considered by many to be the golden standard of this unique dish.

The lunch specials and seasonal ramen are particularly popular among locals. Banquet-style dinners are available by reservation.
